Candidate for State Senate
District: Senate District 2
My candidacy for State Senate is based on my PROVEN RECORD not Promises and Rhetoric.
I believe in efficient, frugal, and limited government. My score by the House Republican Alliance over the 10 years of their ratings has averaged a 93, which puts me at an average of being in the top 6% highest scoring legislators for the decade.
My NH Liberty Alliance scores have qualified me to make their Five Year Honor Roll, with my score this year being an A-. These are based on my PROVEN RECORD.
I have and will continue to fight for our citizens’ right not to be strapped with a sales or income tax.
I understand that YOU would rather have more money in your pocket to spend on supporting your family than sending it to big spenders in Concord!
I currently serve on the House Finance Committee and firmly believe that the use of taxpayers money should be as a helping hand, not a way of life.
I have fought to promote streamlined and efficient government. This past year I introduced legislation that would require full government transparency by requiring the state budget be online in a searchable data base, that it show all state employees salaries and benefits, all contracts and grants as well as the state’s checkbook—all online for citizen’s access.
I am a strong believer in our constitutional rights. Over the years I have sponsored bills to protect individuals and businesses from eminent domain takings, reduce regulations and increase competition in health care, to promote free market systems and support right to work. I’ve sponsored or co-sponsored bills to require term limits on judges and to expand the right to know law to the governor’s office and the courts. Parental rights and home schooling are two other areas that I strongly defend.
I have an “A” rating with the NRA and in the past have been endorsed by the Gun Owners of America for my efforts to protect our second amendment rights.
