Jim Luther

Candidate for State Senate

District: Senate District 12

Hollis small business owner Jim Luther is running as a Republican for State Senate in District 12. District 12 includes the towns of Brookline, Hollis and Mason in addition to Wards 1, 2, 5 and 9 in Nashua.

“After several successful careers in the private sector, I’ve decided that it’s time to serve my community and this state by running for public office. I see the fiscal structure that is broken and I am alarmed at the impact this is having on the public welfare and job creation climate in this state,” said Luther. “As a small businessman I’ve had to meet a weekly payroll and manage a budget. I want to bring what I have learned in the private sector to Concord and help New Hampshire get its fiscal house in order to once again become the job growth leader in New England.”

“Jim Luther understands that in order to preserve the New Hampshire Advantage we need to hold the line on taxes and reduce government spending,” said Senator Bradley. “I’m proud to endorse Jim because he is an outstanding candidate who can help Republicans take back the State Senate and restore New Hampshire’s fiscal integrity.”

Jim served as the President and founder of Mediamation LLC, a Nashua based marketing communications agency serving fortune 500 clients and large New England companies. Clients included such firms as IBM, Kodak, McGraw-Hill, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Polaroid and Public Service of New Hampshire. He also served as President of the Marketplace Community, a Hollis based workforce training organization. After graduating from Syracuse University in 1981, Jim also held investment and marketing positions with Wang Laboratories and Digital Equipment Corporation.

As a part time pastor of the Grace Fellowship Church of Nashua, Jim has focused his time as a mentor and developed leadership to serve the organization.

Jim and his wife Melinda have been married for 28 years and have lived in Hollis since 1988. Melinda has a background as a pediatric nurse practitioner and currently is a professor of nursing at Nashua Community College. The couple has two children; Tess, 18 and Ben, 17.
