John Reagan

Candidate for State Representative

District: Rockingham 1

John is running for a third term in the NH House. He is currently a member of the Executive Departments and Administration Committee. Repairing the mismanaged New Hampshire Retirement System has been a committee focus for Representative Reagan. John is clerk of the joint Senate/House Performance Audit and Oversight Committee.

A graduate of Albany Business College and trained by the College for Financial Planning in Boulder, Colorado the representative is well grounded in finance and retirement issues. Prior to a career change to business continuity consulting John worked for twenty-eight years as an officer in the Baltimore City Fire Department assigned to a busy inner-city ladder/rescue company. John’s company responded to emergencies in both I-95 Harbor Tunnels and to routine fire suppression, hazardous material incidents and rescue situations. He is also trained as an Emergency Medical Technician and certified for terrorist incident response.

John says, “I returned to New Hampshire drawn to the promise of ‘Live Free or Die.’ Since returning to New England, I have pursued the cause of individual freedom for all. As a selectman and state representative I have focused on budgets and the bankrupt New Hampshire Retirement System. The liability of the NHRS threatens the property and income of all residents and reduces freedom and free choice of all citizens. There is no greater threat to the financial well being of our state and its residents than our terribly unbalanced budget and underfunded retirement system.”
