Laura Jones is a passionate defender of liberty and has a strong desire to work as a public servant. She has a high regard for New Hampshire’s superior laws concerning individual privacy and freedom.
Since 1991, Laura has served as a full-time wife and mother. Prior to this she worked for two years as a real estate instructor and for four years as an accountant. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from California State University, Fullerton, where she graduated magna cum laude. She recently completed the Vesta Roy Excellence in Public Service Series, which is a leadership training program for New Hampshire Republican women.
Currently, Laura serves as an Alternate Member of Rochester’s Historic District Commission and she is the Treasurer of the Rochester Republican City Committee. She holds memberships in the Strafford County Republican Committee, the Republican Liberty Caucus of New Hampshire, Gun Owners of America, and Pro-Gun New Hampshire.
She lives in Rochester with her husband Dave, a remodeling contractor, and their three children: Kyle, Spencer, and Skyler. Laura currently homeschools her two youngest children, and she has homeschooled her children for 14 years.
In addition to public service and education, Laura’s interests include history, law, and Austrian economics. She enjoys testifying before the NH House on pending legislation.
