Laurie Sanborn and her husband, Andy, are both 4th generation New Hampshire natives, who enjoy everything New Hampshire has to offer, from hunting, hiking and skiing, to motorcycle riding and snowmobiling.

After graduating Magna Cum Laude from Simmons College in Boston, MA, Laurie spent the next 15 years focusing on Human Resources and Operations in the financial, healthcare and environmental testing industries.  Her accomplishments include being Nationally recognized with a certification in Employee Benefits.  Additionally, she has been on the Board of Directors of the American Red Cross, Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce, and several other organizations and clubs.

Today, Laurie and Andy are active in several small businesses, including owning The Draft, an award winning restaurant in Concord.

“I believe our state government is spending too much, taxing too much and over regulating the working families in this great State.  We need to focus our energies on making a smaller, more efficient government, which will clear the way to create jobs for our friends and neighbors.  I am running to help get our economy going, make our government more accountable and keep New Hampshire the best state in the nation to live, work and play.”

Laurie is running for the House of Representatives in Merrimack District 5, which includes Henniker and Bradford.  “Although I’ve never been a politician, I can no longer sit on the sidelines.  It’s time to get involved, offer new solutions to our problems, and serve the people in the state that I love so much.”
