Leigh was born in Melrose, Massachusetts and have been a New Hampshire resident since 1988. As a resident of this great state, with its history, beauty and peaceful landscape it has become a place that he is proud to call home. He graduated from Nashua High School in 1992 and then attended Plymouth State College majoring in accounting and business.
Leigh currently manages a territory of automotive dealers throughout the states of New Hampshire, Maine and Massachusetts. He plays a consulting role for these businesses, guiding them through indirect lending products to better serve their customers and monitor their compliance with state regulations. He has been working in the auto industry in some capacity now for the last fifteen years and has made many lasting friendships through travels from dealership to dealership and all the vendors in between. On a daily basis, he sees firsthand just how government policy shapes our local economy and feel that this work and life experience is part of what makes me a perfect candidate to serve our state in the House of Representatives.
His lovely wife, Renee, was born and raised in Vermont. Renee has a Master’s degree in English from the University of Vermont and is currently an English and Drama teacher at Concord High School. They moved to Hopkinton in 2006, just a few months before their wedding. Since then, they have raised two pugs and recently celebrated their daughter’s second birthday. In his spare time, Leigh spends time with his wife and daughter, teaches Mixed Martial Arts, and enjoys studying and visiting historical sites.
Growing up, Leigh’s family did not have much, and he worked hard to bring himself to the place he is today. He is running for New Hampshire State Representative in Merrimack County, District 4 because he wants to give back to the state that has given me so much. Through hard work and determination, Leigh believes that we can bring New Hampshire back on its feet. “I feel, in my heart, that I am a voice that can help to accomplish this task,” he wrote.
