My husband and I were attracted to New Hampshire because of the independent, ‘can do’ spirit and strong love of freedom we sensed in the people of New Hampshire. This spirit is exemplified in the state motto “Live Free Or Die.”
I have been a Registered Nurse since 1976 and have worked in many areas of health care services – from the Critical Care Unit to Home Health Care. Always looking for more ways to help, I have studied several Complementary Healing Modalities and became a Licensed Massage Therapist in 1995, a Certified Healing Touch Practitioner in 1999, and a Certified Reflexologist in 2008. I ran a small business practice in massage therapy and was an instructor at New York College of Health Professions, School of Massage Therapy until I moved to Claremont, New Hampshire. Currently I am working at Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center as an RN on the Acute Unit and offer complimentary healing modalities on all of the hospital’s units.
The present circumstances in both the Federal and State governments make me feel compelled to seek elected office for the first time. I am running to be State Representative for Claremont, Unity and Lempster (Sullivan Country District 4). A lifelong conservative woman, I would like to help restore fiscal responsibility to New Hampshire so that it will remain a great state. I have signed the Coalition of NH Taxpayers’ “Taxpayers Pledge” which states that “if elected to any statewide office, I will oppose all efforts to impose a sales, income, or other broadbased tax on the taxpayers of the State of New Hampshire.” I am proud to be endorsed by the Republican Liberty Caucus of New Hampshire.
